World Food Day” conducted on 16.10.2025

The NSS Unit of Agricultural College, Warangal organized an inspiring Awareness Rally on the occasion of “World Food Day” on 16th October 2025. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. B. Raju, Assistant Professor (SSAC), and Smt. K. Gopika, Assistant Professor (Plant Pathology), NSS Programme Officers.

The event was graced by Dr. V. Ravinder Naik, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of World Food Day. In his motivating speech, he emphasized the importance of ensuring food security, reducing food wastage, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. He appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers and formally flagged off the rally, marking the beginning of the awareness campaign.

The rally, enthusiastically carried out by NSS volunteers, aimed to sensitize the public about the value of food, sustainable farming and responsible consumption. Students carried colorful placards and raised thought-provoking slogans reflecting this year’s theme – “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and A Better Future”.”

The teaching staff members of the college also actively participated in the programme, extending their support and encouragement to the volunteers. The rally started from the college premises and passed through nearby localities, spreading a strong message on the importance of food conservation and respect for farmers’ efforts. The programme concluded with an interactive session, where faculty members commended the volunteers for their active participation, enthusiasm, and social commitment.
