Telangana Rythu Vigyan Kendras (TRVKs)
Introduction
Believing that every research scientist should also serve farmers directly, the University actively engages with the farming community through regular farmer-scientist interactions and field visits. To enhance this outreach, the University established 9 Telangana Rythu Vigyan Kendras (TRVKs). Each centre has experts in crop production, crop protection, and technology transfer. These centres act as ambassadors of PJTSAU, promoting improved agricultural technologies, new crop varieties, and practical solutions for farmers. Their efforts have earned wide appreciation from the farming community.

Mandate of Telangana Rythu Vigyan Kendras (TRVKs)
- Technology Assessment, Demonstration, and Dissemination of latest agricultural innovations suitable for district-specific agro-ecologies.
- Capacity Building of farmers, extension functionaries, FPOs, PACS and rural youth through on-campus and off-campus training programs.
- Promotion of Sustainable Agricultural Practices including natural/organic farming, integrated pest management, water use efficiency, etc.
- Handholding of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)/PACS and other agri related Cooperatives for business planning, processing, and value addition.
- Digital Extension Services using ICT tools including WhatsApp advisories, e-learning, and data-based farmer support systems.
- Supporting Government Schemes through field demonstrations, technical backstopping, and impact assessment studies.
- To Undertake large scale seed production of major crops of the district.
