    Student Experiences

Department of RMCS provided me with an enriching learning experience during my M.Sc. Community Science programme. The classrooms were well equipped and offered a conducive environment for effective learning. Regular presentations and seminars helped improve my communication skills and overcome stage fear. My research work gave me valuable practical exposure, and the departmental laboratories further supported my learning. I also gained experience in designing and conducting research studies and publishing research work in peer-reviewed journals. I am thankful to my chairman and advisory committee for their constant guidance and support throughout my master’s programme.

    Nomula Prathyusha, HHM/2018-013

The faculty members are very approachable and supportive, encouraging students to participate in academic, research and practical-oriented activities. The faculty place strong emphasis on developing professional competencies related to resource management and interior design. Individual attention is given to students through continuous mentoring, academic counselling and regular progress reviews conducted by the Head of the Department and the Advisory Committee. The department is well-equipped with functional laboratories. The department helps in a positive growth of an academic environment that nurtures critical thinking, innovation, leadership and social responsibility which builds the research goals and also improves entrepreneurial skills in students.

The research environment in the department has helped me gradually become more independent and confident in planning and carrying out my work. The faculty members are knowledgeable, cooperative and approachable and they provide constant guidance whenever needed. The advisory committee has been very supportive in helping me work independently, face long-term research challenges and develop a deeper interest in my research area. Ph.D. programme has been a transformative journey that has helped me grow personally and academically.
