Introduction
Processing and Food Engineering
Processing and Food Engineering integrates engineering principles with food science to develop and optimize processes that enhance the safety, quality, and shelf life of food products. It plays a critical role in addressing global food security, reducing post-harvest losses, and ensuring efficient and sustainable food processing systems.

Why this Programme?
- To provide a deep understanding of the engineering principles applied in food processing and preservation.
- To develop skilled professionals who can contribute to innovations in food technology and machinery design.
- To promote research and development in areas such as value addition, post-harvest technology, and food quality management.
- To build technical expertise to support the growth of the food processing sector in India and abroad.
