Paddy seeding through drone technology in collaboration

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem conducted a demonstration on paddy seeding through drone technology in collaboration with KVK, Adilabad at Sompalli Village, Burgampadu Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District on 17.12.2025. During the programme, The Honourable District Collector & Magistrate, Sri Jitesh V. Patil garu, participated and interacted with the farmers. He emphasized the importance of adopting new technologies such as drone-based paddy seeding to overcome labour shortages and to achieve cost-effective farming. Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, explained the role of drone technology in paddy cultivation, including direct seeding of paddy, herbicide application and pesticide spraying, highlighting its efficiency and precision.

The programme was attended by Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator; Scientists Dr. N. Hema Sarat Chandra and Sri B. Shiva; Associate Director of Agriculture Sri Tata Rao; representatives from Marut Drones, and 60 farmers from the surrounding villages. The demonstration created awareness among farmers about the benefits of drone technology in modern agriculture.
