Admissions

The Registrar of the University is mandated with a task of conducting admissions for various postgraduate, undergraduate, and diploma courses. Admissions for the various courses are generally made in the month of June/July of each academic year in accordance with the regulations laid down from time to time by the University as per the rules of the Government of Telangana.

Diploma Eligibility criteria

  • The candidates who wish to seek admission into Diploma Courses of PJTAU should have qualified in TG-POLYCET under the Agricultural stream conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Hyderabad.
  • Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society(TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X Class Examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Science as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination as applicable.

    Age:-

    • The candidates for admission into the first year Diploma Courses in the University shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission, with an upper age limit of 22 years.

    B. Sc. (Hons) Agriculture
    Mode of Entry Eligibility Criteria of Selection Admission Procedure
    TG-EAPCET A pass in a two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State or any equivalent examination with:
    (i) Physical Sciences
    (ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
    (iii) Agriculture
    (iv) Vocational Course in Agriculture
    Based on ranks in Telangana EAPCET (including Self-Financing seats) following rule of reservation. Through OFFLINE (Physical mode) counselling conducted by PJTSAU
    ICAR-CUET (All over India) Indian nationals should have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination with at least three subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture/Inter-Agriculture.
    Candidates with subjects different than in 12th, or those with diploma/vocational courses after matriculation are not eligible.
    Online counselling based on CUET (UG) ranks.
    Only ICAR-declared eligible candidates will be considered.
    Admission and scholarship only through ICAR counselling.
    Through ONLINE counselling conducted by ICAR
    AGRICET (Diploma Holders) Diploma in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Organic Agriculture from PJTSAU or ANGRAU. Based on AGRICET ranks (including Self-Financing seats) following reservation rules. Through OFFLINE (Physical mode) counselling conducted by PJTSAU
    NRI/NRI Sponsored Quota Passed 12th standard (English Medium) with Biological and Physical Sciences from an Indian or equivalent foreign board. Based on merit from marks obtained in Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent. Through OFFLINE (Physical mode) counselling conducted by PJTSAU
    B. Sc. (Hons) Community Science
    Mode of Entry Eligibility Criteria of Selection Admission Procedure
    TG-EAPCET A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects:
    i) Physical Sciences
    ii) Biological Sciences (Bi.P.C) or
    i) Physical Sciences
    ii) Mathematics (M.P.C)
    The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be based on ranks obtained by the candidates in the Telangana EAPCET-2024 [Including Self-Financing seats] conducted by the Telangana Council for Higher Education following the rule of reservation.
    50% of the seats shall be allotted to Bi.P.C candidates and the remaining 50% to M.P.C candidates
    Through OFFLINE (Physical mode) counselling conducted by PJTSAU
    ICAR-CUET (All over India) Indian national candidates should have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination within scope and standard found to be equivalent to the Senior Secondary Examination of a recognized Indian Board / University with at least three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture/Inter-Agriculture as core courses.

    Candidate(s) who appears in subject(s) different than the one which s(he) passed in 12th standard will not be considered for counselling / admission and will stand rejected.

    Candidate(s) who have obtained any diploma or vocational course after matriculation will not be eligible.

    The selection of the candidate(s) will be made through online counselling on the basis of respective CUET (UG) ranks.
    Candidates declared eligible for registration and choice filling for online counseling by the ICAR will only be considered for allocation of subject/seat and the Agricultural University.
    The schedule for counseling will be notified separately on the ICAR website (www.icar.org.in) after the declaration of result.

    The admission and scholarship (if any) would be granted only when the candidate seeks admission through counseling conducted by the ICAR.

    Through ONLINE counselling conducted by ICAR
    Diploma in Home Science A pass in three year course of Diploma in Home Science The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and rule of reservation.     NRI/NRI sponsored quota The applicant must have passed 12th standard (English Medium) from an Indian Board or an equivalent Board outside the country with the subjects of Biological/Mathematical and Physical Sciences The selection of candidates shall be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the marks secured in Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent.     B.Tech.(Agricultural Engineering)
    Mode of Entry Eligibility Criteria of Selection Admission Procedure
    TG-EAPCET A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects:
    (i) Physical Sciences
    (ii) Mathematics
    The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the Telangana EAPCET [Including Self-Financing seats] following the rule of reservation.

    60% Non-Farmer (NF) Quota seats will be filled through ONLINE counselling conducted by TG-EAPCET Convener
    40% Farmer (F) Quota and All Self-Financing seats (NF & F quota) seats will be filled through OFFLINE (Physical mode) counselling conducted by PJTSAU

    60% NF quota: ONLINE by TG-EAPCET Convener
    40% F quota & all SF seats: OFFLINE by PJTSAU
    ICAR-CUET (All over India) Indian national candidates should have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination of CBSE or any equivalent recognized exam with at least three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as core courses.

    Candidates with subjects different than passed in 12th will not be considered. Candidates with diploma/vocational course after matriculation are not eligible.

    Selection through online counselling based on CUET (UG) ranks.

    AGRIENGGCET (Diploma Holders of Agricultural Engineering) Candidates who possess/are awarded Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from PJTSAU / ANGRAU The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the AGRIENGGCET [Including Self-Financing seats] following rule of reservation.     B.Tech. (Food Technology)

    – 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates
    – 50% seats for M.P.C candidates

    – 60% NF Quota: ONLINE counselling by TG-EAPCET Convener
    – 40% F Quota and all SF seats (NF & F): OFFLINE counselling

    – 60% NF Quota: ONLINE counselling by TG-EAPCET Convener
    – 40% F Quota & all SF seats: OFFLINE counselling
    ICAR-CUET (All over India) Indian nationals who passed 10+2 (CBSE or equivalent) with at least 3 of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture/Inter-Agriculture.

    Candidates with mismatched subjects or with diploma/vocational course after matriculation are not eligible.

    Selection through online counselling based on CUET (UG) ranks.

    Only ICAR-declared eligible candidates can register and fill choices. Allocation based on CUET rank.
