Celebration of Constitution Day
BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla, celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on 26th November 2025 with great enthusiasm to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution and to create awareness among students about the values of democracy, justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
The programme began with a brief introduction on the significance of Constitution Day by the NSS Programme Officer, Dr. G. Priyadarshini. Faculty member Dr. J. Suresh, Professor, GPBR, highlighted the contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Chairman of the Drafting Committee, and explained the importance of constitutional rights and duties in shaping responsible citizens. In-charge Associate Dean, Dr. Razia Sultana, also addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of this day and advising students to follow the fundamental duties mentioned in the Constitution to become good citizens of India.
As part of the celebrations, Associate Dean In-charge, Dr. Razia Sultana, along with NSS Programme Officers, OISA, staff, and students, paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, and later collectively took the Constitution Day Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the Constitution and respect its ideals.
A Quiz competition was also organised for students on topics related to the Indian Constitution, fundamental duties, and the role of citizens in a democracy. Students actively participated and showcased their understanding of constitutional principles.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students for making the programme meaningful and informative.
Overall, the Constitution Day celebration at BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla, served as an important platform to inspire students to become aware, responsible, and constitutionally empowered citizens.
