Introduction
Apparel & Textile Science
The Department of Apparel & Textile Science delivers professional education and research in areas like designing for differently‑abled users, natural dyes, sports and functional textiles, nanofabrics, healthcare and protective clothing. It operates an ISO‑certified testing lab and a Natural Dye Processing & Incubation Center. Research spans agro-fibers (banana, ramie, mesta, okra, palm leaf, maize husk), silk/polyester waste upcycling, eco‑friendly dyeing, handloom innovation, and adaptive apparel. To date, 81 Master’s theses have been supervised.

It also exposes the students to technological and managerial problems related to consumers, weavers, and the apparel and textile industry.

Master Course Work
The M.Sc. (CSc.) in Apparel & Textile Science explores economic, social, legal, environmental, and ethical aspects of textile and apparel design. The curriculum focuses on current trends, lifestyles, and markets to promote careers and entrepreneurship. The program is offered by the Department of Apparel & Textile Science, College of Community Science, PJTAU, Saifabad, Hyderabad – 500 004.
Master's Thesis Research
